Goa, India - Crocotryles Rugby Foundation created history as the first team from Goa to compete in an international rugby tournament, taking part in the Paradise Touch Rugby Tournament in Kandy, Sri Lanka on 5th and 6th September 2026 - and returning home with the Gold Shield.
The 13-member squad was led by Captain Brandan Crasto and Coaches Bee & Dave Totter, with Snehal Deuskar as Vice-Captain and Managers Lawrie & Maria Crasto. Seniors Sumit, Anniya, Precilla, and Desiree featured alongside juniors Abdullah, Farhan, Prabhakar, Jasmin, Elaine, Jennika, and Utkarsha. Brandan and Snehal top-scored with four tries each, followed by Abdullah with three, and one apiece from Anniya, Prabhakar, and Jasim.
The win caps a proud milestone for Goan rugby, reflecting Crocotryles’ commitment to giving young players real exposure to international-level competition.
