Ek Kachori, Do Samosa — AAP Ka Kya Bharosa?”: Congress’ Amarnath Panjikar Questions AAP’s Politics

PANAJI, October 4, 2026: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Media & Communication Department Chairman Amarnath Panjikar launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Goa unit, accusing it of playing a “double game” by inviting Congress for an alliance while simultaneously targeting the party through its official social media platforms.

Panjikar questioned why AAP repeatedly attacks Congress while remaining comparatively silent on the BJP government, which is currently in power in Goa.

“Ek Kachori, Do Samosa — AAP ka kya bharosa? AAP’s politics has become a menu of contradictions. In the morning, AAP leaders invite Congress for an alliance; by evening, the official AAP Goa page is busy abusing and mocking Congress,” Panjikar said.

He alleged that while AAP speaks about saving Goa, it does not apply the same political pressure on the ruling BJP.

‘Why Is AAP Afraid of Attacking BJP?’

Panjikar asked AAP to explain why the BJP government was not receiving the same level of criticism.

“Let AAP answer one simple question: Where is your anger against the BJP Government? Where are your daily attacks on the government that is in power?” he asked.

He raised issues including land conversion, Goa’s identity, the displacement of Goemkars and the use of the state’s resources.

“Why does AAP find Congress an easier target than the BJP? Is Congress the government in Goa? No. BJP is. Then why is AAP behaving as if Congress is its principal enemy?” Panjikar said.

He claimed that AAP’s approach raised questions about its political intentions and accused the party of political opportunism.

“AAP cannot ask Congress to join an alliance with one hand and attack Congress with the other. Goemkars are not fools. They can see through this political circus,” he said.

Questions AAP’s Alliance Position

Panjikar also referred to recent statements on opposition unity, pointing out that AAP MLA Venzy Viegas had spoken about Congress and RGP joining an alliance, while Goa Forward leader Vijai Sardesai had welcomed calls for a broader opposition front.

According to Panjikar, AAP’s contradictory messaging creates confusion over whether the party is genuinely interested in building a united opposition against the BJP.

“Venzy Viegas calls Congress. AAP’s official page abuses Congress. Delhi talks of a non-Congress formula. Goa AAP talks of opposition unity. BJP gets silence. Which AAP should Goemkars believe?” he asked.

‘Goy Rakhonn Yatra Has Become a Goemkar Movement’

Panjikar also defended the Congress-led Goy Rakhonn Yatra, claiming that the campaign has received support from NGOs, activists, social organisations, community representatives and citizens.

“The Yatra has already moved beyond the boundaries of a political programme. Goemkars have taken ownership of it,” he said.

He said the campaign was raising concerns over Goa’s land, identity, water, environment and future.

“People are walking with us because they know this is not merely about Congress. This is about Goa,” Panjikar said.

‘Don’t Pretend to Be Goa First While Playing BJP’s Game’

Panjikar challenged parties discussing an opposition alliance to demonstrate their commitment by directly taking on the BJP government.

“If an alliance is genuinely meant to defeat the BJP, then every partner must be prepared to fight the BJP. You cannot claim to build an opposition front while spending your political ammunition against the principal opposition party and giving the ruling BJP a free pass,” he said.

He further questioned whether AAP’s “Goa First” politics was becoming “BJP First, Congress Last.”

‘Goemkars Will Decide Who Stays and Who Goes’

Panjikar said the 2027 political battle would ultimately be decided by voters and not by social media campaigns or political calculations.

“The people of Goa are awake. They are watching who is standing with them and who is merely playing politics,” he said.

He invited those genuinely committed to protecting Goa to join the Goy Rakhonn Yatra while warning that parties adopting what he called contradictory positions would face the people’s verdict.

“Goem Rakhonn! Goa Rakhonn! Goemkar Rakhonn! Not Kachori-Samosa politics. Not BJP-friendly politics. Enough of political double games — Goa deserves clarity, courage and commitment,” Panjikar said.
