PORVORIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Friday launched the Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems of the Goa Labour Welfare Board and the Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board at Mantralaya, Porvorim.
The new digital systems are aimed at making labour welfare administration more transparent, efficient and citizen-centric while reducing paperwork and improving the delivery of welfare benefits to eligible workers.
According to the government, the end-to-end digital platforms will streamline key services, including worker registration, database management, contribution and cess collection, renewals, processing of welfare schemes and monitoring.
The systems also incorporate several technology-driven features, including e-Sign, DigiLocker integration, online payments, AI-enabled cost validation, blockchain-backed verification, QR authentication and geo-fenced mobile inspections.
The government said these features will help strengthen transparency, accountability and traceability in the administration of labour welfare schemes.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Minister Sawant described the initiative as an important step towards technology-driven labour welfare administration and congratulated the two Welfare Boards and RailTel for their role in implementing the digital systems.
The Chief Minister also appealed to all eligible workers in Goa to register with the Labour Welfare Boards and make use of the various welfare benefits and services available to them.
The launch marks another step towards expanding digital governance and simplifying access to government welfare services for workers across the state.
