PANAJI: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Goa desk in-charge Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar urged Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to write a formal letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting a tripartite meeting to resolve the ongoing Mhadei river water-sharing dispute between Goa and Karnataka.
Addressing the media in Panaji, Dr. Nimbalkar highlighted that the issue of water allocation for drinking and agricultural needs concerns both states and requires central intervention. She noted that Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has already written to PM Modi, stating Karnataka's readiness to participate in a joint meeting in New Delhi.
