Bambolim: Goa Police was conferred with the prestigious President’s Colour, one of the highest honours bestowed upon a police force in India, at a ceremony held at the Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim.
Hon’ble Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah presented the President’s Colour to Goa Police in the presence of Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the historic honour recognises the service, discipline, courage and dedication of generations of Goa Police personnel and their families.
The Chief Minister highlighted that “Shaurya, Suraksha aur Seva” remains the guiding spirit of Goa Police. He said the force continues to modernise, strengthen its capabilities and work towards earning and maintaining the trust of the people.
Dr. Sawant extended his congratulations to the entire Goa Police family and expressed hope that the President’s Colour would inspire the force to achieve greater heights in serving Goa and the nation.
The presentation of the President’s Colour marks a significant milestone in the history of Goa Police and honours its longstanding contribution to maintaining law and order and serving the people of the state.
