ASSAGAO: A 27-year-old man from Assam was found dead inside a rented room at Vale, Assagao, on Monday, September 28, police said.
The deceased was identified as Sanjoy Boruah, son of Chandan Boruah. He was reportedly staying at a rented premises belonging to Satish Pawar.
According to Anjuna Police, a PCR call was received around 2:07 pm reporting a suspected suicide near Dattaray Temple, Assagao. PSI Saish Kinlekar and police personnel reached the location and conducted verification.
Police said Boruah was found hanging inside the rented room.
Anjuna Police registered UD No. 55/2026 under Section 194 of the BNSS. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
