VASCO: A 52-year-old man from Baina, Vasco, died while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, police said.
The deceased was identified as Jerome Jose Figore, a resident of Baina.
According to Mormugao Police, a wireless message was received from the GMC casualty section on September 27 regarding his death.
Police enquiries revealed that Figore was staying alone in a rented room. On September 23, after he complained of feeling unwell, a friend reportedly took him to the Sub-District Hospital at Chicalim.
He was later referred to GMC Bambolim for further treatment, where he subsequently died.
His body was preserved at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for medico-legal formalities.
Further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Stanley Gomes of Mormugao Police Station
