PORVORIM: A 70-year-old man has approached Porvorim Police alleging that he was stopped while riding his scooter, verbally abused and threatened with death during a road confrontation at Sodiem, Bardez.
According to the complaint filed by Subhash Rama Goltekar, a resident of Socorro, the incident allegedly occurred around 1.40 pm on September 11 near Leo Dias House at Bankarwado, Sodiem.
Goltekar alleged that Sachit Shyam Mandrekar, a resident of Sodiem, Siolim, stopped his scooter in his path due to an alleged personal grudge and prevented him from proceeding further.
He further alleged that Mandrekar used abusive and filthy language and threatened him with dire consequences, including allegedly threatening to kill him.
The complaint was registered on September 22 at around 7.52 pm.
Police have taken up the matter for investigation. PSI Abhijit Naik is conducting the investigation.
