Sattari, September 28, 2026: As part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, an Angan Ka Utsav programme was organised today at Honda Panchayat Hall, Sattari, to recognise and felicitate Anganwadi Workers from the Poriem–Sattari Block for their dedicated service towards women and children in rural communities.
The programme focused on recognising the important role played by Anganwadi Workers in delivering nutrition, healthcare, early childhood development and awareness of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Deviya Rane appreciated the dedication of the Anganwadi Workers and highlighted their role as an important link between government welfare initiatives and families in rural areas.
She said that Anganwadi centres form the foundation of a child's early years, providing a space for nutrition, learning and holistic development. She further said that efforts are ongoing towards the renovation and refurbishment of Anganwadi centre, with the objective of creating safer, more welcoming and child-friendly spaces where children can learn, play and grow.
Dr. Rane also emphasised the importance of ensuring that government schemes and benefits reach the intended beneficiaries, particularly women and children in rural areas, and acknowledged the frontline role played by Anganwadi Workers in making this possible.
She expressed her appreciation for the leadership and efforts of Hon’ble Minister for Women & Child Development Shri Vishwajit Rane, Director Smt. Jyoti, CDPO Smt. Deepti Parab and the entire Women & Child Development Department team for organising the programme on a large scale and for their continued work towards strengthening grassroots services.
The event was attended by CDPO Smt. Deepti Parab, Zilla Panchayat members, the Sarpanch and Panch members of Honda Panchayat, along with Anganwadi Workers and other members of the community.
The felicitation served as a recognition of the commitment and contribution of Anganwadi Workers who continue to work closely with families and children at the grassroots level.
