CURCHOREM: Curchorem Police have registered a theft case after a TVS Jupiter scooter, along with a bag containing a mobile phone, gold mangalsutra and cash, was allegedly stolen from GSUDA Market.
According to a complaint filed by Siddhesh Sawardekar of Assolda, Curchorem, who is currently residing at Virdi, Dodamarg, the incident took place on September 20, 2026, between 10.55 am and 11 am.
The complainant told police that the scooter had been parked at the GSUDA Market when an unknown person allegedly stole it. The vehicle is registered in the name of his brother-in-law, Omkar Gaonkar of Kerim, Sattari.
A bag kept with the scooter was also allegedly taken. It reportedly contained an Infinix mobile phone, a gold mangalsutra and ₹3,000 in cash.
Police have estimated the total value of the stolen scooter and belongings at around ₹2.68 lakh.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Dinesh Gaonkar of Curchorem Police Station.
