CANDOLIM: Police have registered a case against two Candolim residents for allegedly obstructing government-authorised PWD work at a work site in Candolim on September 24.
According to a complaint filed by GSIDC Chairman and Calangute MLA Michael V. Lobo, the incident occurred around 1.30 pm when Derrick Gonsalves and Glen Fernandes allegedly arrived at the site and attempted to stop the ongoing public works.
The complaint alleges that the duo used criminal force and threatened the contractor, staff and workers, warning them of consequences if they continued with the work.
Police said the alleged actions obstructed personnel engaged in carrying out the authorised government project.
The complaint was registered later that evening, and PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar is conducting further investigation.
