MARGAO: A training programme was conducted for Sector Officers and Sector Police Officers assigned election-related duties in preparation for the forthcoming Goa Legislative Assembly Election 2027.
The programme was held at the Office of the Collectorate, South Goa District, with a focus on strengthening the preparedness of officers responsible for field-level election duties.
The training was conducted by Dr Shantanu Gauns, NLMT (ECI), and Dr Nilesh B. Fal Dessai, Director, Department of Archaeology, Mala, Panaji.
Officials were briefed on their election-related responsibilities, field-level coordination and procedures required for the effective implementation of election duties.
The programme also covered law and order management and other important aspects necessary for ensuring the smooth and orderly conduct of the electoral process.
The training is part of the ongoing preparations for the 2027 Goa Assembly elections, with the objective of ensuring that officers entrusted with field-level responsibilities are fully equipped to perform their duties effectively.
